Mrs. J

Mrs. J drove almost an hour and a half just for us to take her boudoir photos. I cannot tell you how grateful we are to her, and to many of our other clients, who come from far away. We have client's who come from every corner of the state for us to take their boudoir portraits, and many from out of state. We are so honored and humbled that so many love and believe in our art so much that they would take so much time to come to us from so far away.

Mrs. J's boudoir session was certainly worth the trip, and she rocked it so hard! Every single pose she nailed and the camera fell in love with her gorgeous curves!

'We have been married 21 years. We are high school sweethearts. This will be a surprise. We have a teenager at home and one that just graduated. We are approaching empty nest time and we have been on the go with the kids schedules for so long we sometimes lose the possibility of just us. We still "date" but sometimes they are rushed for the kids. I want this to just be a little reminder of the sexy and spontaneous "girl" he married is still there but even better as a "woman".'

This was the message Mrs. J sent us when inquiring about a boudoir session with us. Her message to us is similar to a lot of the messages we receive. Raising kids can make room for romance very challenging. Children are a wonderful blessing, but they can take up most of our time and our energy, and at the end of the day there might not be much of either of that left for our partner. They also grow up super fast. One day you wake up and think, 'Where did the past 18 years go?' Before you know it the house is empty of the sound of your kids, and you and your love are looking at one another like lost little puppies. After almost 20 years of both of you concentrating on baby it can be very easy to lose your sexy as a woman. We get labeled mom, wife, driver, fetcher, grocery shopper, cook, and the list goes on. So many labels are attached to us over the years that we might forget about our other labels...sexy, beautiful, strong, confident, gorgeous, etc. As women, knowing these things about ourselves is very important. Our partner can tell us we are beautiful, sexy, etc every single day, but until we see it for ourselves we will not accept it as truth. I am so glad we were able to show Mrs. J her truth. She's not just a wife, mother, and all the other things she has been while raising her children all these years. She is beautiful, sexy, strong and confident, and now she has the portraiture to prove it.
